POF sets forth this Code of Professional Ethics to guide the professional and personal conduct of members of the association and/or its certification holders.
If your application is approved, you will receive a certificate. Within 4 -6 weeks from your approval date, we will also mail you a welcome kit to the mailing address that you have ` provided in your application. The welcome kit consists of your printed certificate, a congratulatory letter, a ID card, and a lapel pin.
You will receive your first printed certificate free of charge. However, if you would like a reprint, the cost is PHP 300.00.
Grandfathering means that you can apply for the credential without taking an exam if you are able to prove that you have met the minimum experience hours stated in the certification domains.
A verifier can be your previous/current supervisor, colleague or client that you have worked/working with. However, one of the two verifiers MUST be your previous/current direct supervisor. He/she must use their official email address to communicate to POF.
POF requires 7- 14 days to review your application.
Your certification is valid for 3 years from the date of a application. However, if you are able to submit proof that you are keeping abreast of changes that are taking place in the industry through continuous education programs (attending seminar, webinars, trainings, certification, writing papers etc., by earning a minimum 120 continuing education credits; POF. may extend your certification for another 3 years.
In order to maintain the CTRP credential you must pay Php5,000 annually. To renew your credential for another three (3) years period, you must update your Certified Tax Return Preparer (CTRP) account at https://www.professionalsofthefuture.ph/ and submit necessary documents to prove that you have earned 120 CTRP credits within 3 years. You can earn the credits in many ways: (1) attending conferences, (2) writing research papers, (3) preparing for training classes in a related domain (for instructors), (4) reading materials on related subject matters (5) an exam of a newer version of the certification, and (6) attending webinars. Failure to meet certification requirements within the 3 years time frame will lead to the suspension of your certification. If you are suspended, you are not allowed to use the certification for a year unless you manage to earn the 120 CTRP credits required to maintain/renew your certification for another three years.

Yes. There is an annual of P 2,499.00 to maintain your certification every year. The fee has to be paid within 12 months from your certification date. Failing which, you will not be able to enjoy member benefits which include applying to renew your certification for another 3 years. There is a grace period of 30 days to remit the fees, before your benefits are suspended. You are not required to remit the maintenance fee if your certification is revoked, expired or retired.

This can be done prior to filling of income tax returns (as preventive measure) or after the tax returns were filed (detective and corrective measures). Even before a BIR audit, companies require tax compliance audits to determine variances explanation and ultimately to be ready with the BIR audit.

Prior to setting-up SCP, he worked for more than 9 years in the Audit, Assurance and Consulting Divisions of 2 of the Big 4 accounting firms in the country.
He has also established, owned and manages other businesses engaged in Information Technology, Management and Consulting Services, Sales and Marketing, Food and Construction. Likewise, he holds positions as Director and President/CEO in other companies.

She also worked as Accounting and Audit Manager of the top Convenience Store in the country and in a German multinational company as Finance and Administration Manager.
